Grahame Sasha and I headed up to Baker in a quest for snow. We made it to about 900m on the road before it became a bit too slippery and we parked the car. We walked along the trail all the way to the ridge, plenty of deadfall and a bit of ice made the trail a little interesting. Once in the alpine the scenery made up for the lack of snow quality. Blue skies and big mountains can make up for a lack of power quite easily. The skiing could be kindly described as variable.
