Bangladesh

10th March to 7th April 2002

Bangladesh is definitely off the major backpacking routes through Asia and is an interesting and at times challenging place to travel. For these reason Bangladesh was one of the highlights of my trip.

As you can see from my photos, Bangladesh for me was all about its people. Life here is so different from my own, but I was made to feel at home my many of the people I met. Despite the poverty, dust and crowds, I still saw more smiles here than many places I have been. Though maybe they were just laughing at the funny looking foreigner.

I would like to say a special thanks to Rony and his family who showed me incredible hospitality when I stayed with them for a number of days while I was in Dhaka.
